Samantha Rodriguez Machado, Nova Scotia Licensed Architect, NSAA, ALEP
Founder/Owner
I am a licensed architect in Nova Scotia with over 21 years of office experience. Throughout my career, I have worked on a wide range of projects including: residential, commercial retail, commercial office buildings, and institutional. I earned my Master of Architecture Post-Professional from Dalhousie University and my professional degree (Architect) from Universidad Central de Venezuela. I am an Accredited Learning Environment Planner (ALEP). In addition to my current professional work, I am an Adjunct Faculty, at Dalhousie University, in the School of Planning.
My architectural work is inspired by encouraging collaboration with clients and exchange of ideas. I have a strong interest in the poetry of spaces, the meaning of spaces, organic relationships with the site and local materials. I am very passionate about sketching, design and visioning spaces with clear relationships to sites. My personal work is inspired by my experiences sketching what I see. For many years, I have used sketchbooks to explore design ideas and sketch places around me, which is the best way to learn and understand them.
This digital sketchbook illustrates my thoughts, processes, design ideas, places, and projects that I am working on and have worked on.
